They share a special relationship and are extremely proactive and enthusiastic in their commitment to providing excellent outcomes for all children to succeed Outdoor provision dynamically expands opportunities for children’s learning The Nursery provides the unique experience for children to learn innovatively about the natural world in a nearby forest under the supervision of its own forest school leader. (Click on Gallery to view forest experience) The nursery is extremely friendly and welcoming. Parents endorse this by expressing that these initial features help in choosing a setting. The key person role optimises early formation in relationships, so that children feel a real sense of belonging at the start. The furniture, resources and equipment are of excellent quality. The deployment of abundant resources fully encourages children’s developing independence in making decisions about their learning, as skilful consideration is given to storage and accessibility. The staff team are able to successfully identify and close gaps in learning as good systems are in place to highlight these. Highly skilled and motivated staff have exemplary knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and its Planning is clearly based on children’s initial starting points and capabilities and their ongoing interests. This means that children are actively engaged in purposeful and worthwhile activities which motivates and excites them. Home cooking, using fresh produce, provides healthy and nutritious meals which children relish.” |
