66 The accommodation consists of a large nursery room, which can be divided to offer three separate areas: a room for the children, a large sensory room and a small room for creativity and technology. Toilet and kitchen facilities are also provided. A large enclosed garden and patio area are at the side of the nursery building.

Helping children to be healthy.

Children are cared for in an exceptionally clean and well-maintained environment. They stay healthy and thrive because staff follow well-written policies and procedures which reflect very good practice.

All children benefit from the varied range of healthy and nutritious meals and snacks, which ensures they are very well nourished. The well-planned written menu is displayed for parents so that they know what their children have eaten during the day. All meals are freshly-prepared and cooked on the premises.

Children are learning about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. They benefit greatly from accessing fresh air and well-planned physical play experiences both indoors and outdoors every day. Children thoroughly enjoy playing in a highly stimulating outdoor area where all aspects of learning are provided for. They climb, balance and swing on the apparatus and pedal and steer wheeled toys with skill and control. They help to dig, plant and grow items in the garden areas and run around having fun.

Indoors they exuberantly take part in the music and movement sessions, clapping and singing enthusiastically to music. They listen carefully and follow the instructions on the tape recorder, bending their knees, waving their hands, kicking their feet, stretching up tall, and marching on the spot. The nursery also provides a service for the children to visit the swimming pool if parents choose to use it. All these activities promote their good physical health and well-being.

All learning areas are very well resourced and provide additional items for the children to self-select and develop their own ideas and imagination.
This is a very happy and industrious environment where children are confident and motivated learners. There are very good opportunities for all children to be involved in creative and sensory play.
