Both Manager and Supervisor have used their professional development opportunities to create a very special environment for the children. Laura has introduced Forest School which provides endless opportunities to nurture through nature and promote children’s resilience and independence. Children spend time in their kitchen area, preparing snacks and simple dishes such as fruit salad, soups and pizzas. Good quality produce is used and unhealthy additives avoided. Birthday cakes are always a team effort, baked and decorated by the children.
Dance classes, yoga sessions, swim sessions and library trips are weekly events, at no extra cost. Also children go on trips to local places of interest such as farms, the Butterfly House, the beach and the park. Before and after-school care is provided as well as a holiday club for children up to 8 years. |

Our Over-Wyre Nursery caters for children aged 18 months to 5 years. We have a dedicated team working closely together to inspire and motivate our children through a superb range of activities. Three of the team now hold the graduate leadership status of “Early Years Professional”, with the rest of the team qualified to at least Level 3. All are experienced in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and committed to promoting the well-being of each child in our care.

The garden is an exciting place for children to explore with plenty of nooks and crannies such as the fairy garden, willow dome and weaving corner. Here children can access the whole curriculum on a large scale in all weathers. Here they lend a hand with the growing and harvesting of fruit and vegetables, learning about the importance of healthy eating as well as the benefits of fresh air and exercise.
The Nursery’s atmosphere has to be experienced. The staff team shares a special relationship which comes from working together over many years; that is evident to families who use our service.
